GLOSS FINISH - WATER-BASED

Made of acrylic and plasticizers, TECHNISEAL WET LOOK PAVER PROTECTOR (WLS) is a wet look, gloss-finish and microporous transparent coating that protects pavers made of concrete while enhancing their original color. It reduces oil and dirt penetration, and makes cleaning easier. Easy to apply, it penetrates the surface for maximum adhesion and durability. TECHNISEAL WET LOOK PAVER PROTECTOR will not peel or discolor. It resists the elements (freeze-thaw cycles, sun, rain, etc.), as well as calcium and salt. It also resists hot tire pick-up.

• Enhances paver color

• Recommended for driveways, parking lots, patios and walkway

• Optimal oil repellency

• Water Based

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Wear adequate protective clothing.
To ensure the results will meet your expectations, always test the product on a small hidden area of approximately 4 sq.ft.
Do not thin or dilute.

Apply only to bare material or to material that has been previously sealed with a compatible TECHNISEAL Protector (consult technical data sheet).
On a surface that has been previously sealed, use WL5 RECOATER from TECHNISEAL.
Wait until the surface of the Protector is completely worn before recoating (minimum of 2 years).
New concrete pavers and slabs: Efflorescence (whitish salt) may appear on suchmaterials within 60 days following installation (time frame may be different in dry climates). Exposure to water triggers this phenomenon. Letting this process occur before treatment will ensure better results.
Light grey pavers and poured concrete: These types of surfaces may show uneven color shading after application of a wet look Protector; the application of natural look EV Protector or invisible iN Protector is recommended.
Slipperiness: This product can make the surface slippery when wet; the application of a mat finish Protector (WLP or iN) is recommended where this represents a cause for concern.

Proper surface cleaning and preparation is essential.

STAIN REMOVAL:
Remove all stains (oil, rust, etc.) from the surface using the appropriate TECHNISEAL stain removers. Avoid the use of Rust Remover on natural stones and poured concrete.

PREPARATION:
This step is essential to obtain optimal wet look. Prepare the entire surface by removing all efflorescence and ground-in dirt. This ensures a uniform look and allows the PROTECTOR to better penetrate the surface. Surfaces with efflorescence: Use PAVER PRIMER or EFFLORESCENCE CLEANER from TECHNISEAL. Surfaces without efflorescence: Prepare these surfaces with HC HARDSCAPE CLEANER. Natural stones and poured concrete: only use HC HARDSCAPE CLEANER on these materials. Do not use PAVER PRIMER or EFFLORESCENCE CLEANER.

APPLICATION:
Surface must be clean, dry (24 hours without precipitation) and warm to the touch (morning). Temperature must be between 50°F and 85°F and rain should not be forecasted over the next 24 hours. For optimal results, apply product under constant weather conditions and using the same application method from start to finish.
Roller application: Using a TECHNISEAL FOAM ROLLER and a metal paint tray, saturate the surface with a coat of PROTECTOR. The level of saturation obtained will determine the intensity of the wet look. On highly porous material, apply a second coat as soon as the surface is dry to the touch.
Sprayer application (large surfaces): Soak the surface using an airless sprayer. Once a section (± 250 sq. ft.) has been rolled or sprayed, back-roll any excess of PROTECTOR with a fresh FOAM ROLLER. Tip: To work on freshly sealed surfaces, wear steel spiked footwear (old golf shoes). Let dry for 24 hours before allowing traffic on the surface.
